# Create Computer Specific Settings record

Creates a new CSS record targeting a specific machine by Serial Number or MAC address, overriding deployment template defaults — such as computer name, domain, OU, user accounts, and profile backup — for a single endpoint.

Duration - Time window for the threshold.  
Threshold - Number of API calls allowed within the specified duration.
