DEX Diagnostics

DEX Diagnostics is an AI-powered capability that helps IT professionals quickly understand processes, executables, faulting modules (DLLs), and Windows error codes associated with managed devices. When a supported diagnostic item is selected, Zia generates a concise summary explaining its purpose, category, severity where applicable, and relevance. This helps administrators identify unknown components, interpret diagnostic information, and make faster, more informed troubleshooting decisions during endpoint analysis.

Use DEX Diagnostics

  1. Navigate to DEX > Insights.
  2. Open the required insight page.
  3. Click View on a KPI or View on a table to open the detailed data view.
  4. Click the required process name (EXE), or select a highlighted value under Top Processes, Faulting Modules, or Error Codes.
  5. Review the diagnostic information in the Zia pop-up.
  6. Use the information to decide whether the selected item requires further investigation or remediation.

Considerations

  • The available summary, category, and severity depend on the metadata available for the selected item.
  • DEX Diagnostics provides explanatory context. It does not confirm the root cause or perform remediation.
  • Review the generated information with the affected device data before applying configuration changes or troubleshooting steps.
