# Unable to replicate the image, image is available in the Admin$/hidden share repository **Last Updated On**: 13 Nov 2025 **2 minutes read** ### Problem You may see the following error message while replicating an image from a local office to a remote office: > **Error:** “Unable to replicate the image. The image is available in the Admin$/hidden share repository.” ### Cause This error occurs when the image repository is configured using an **Admin$** or another hidden share. Repositories hosted on hidden shares cannot be accessed via **HTTP**, which is required for image replication. Therefore, replication fails when the image is stored in such locations. ### Resolution To fix this issue, follow these steps: 1. Copy the image file to a new network share that **does not** use the `Admin$` or any hidden share. Configure this new share as an **Image Repository** in the local office. 2. In the product console, go to the **Image Details** page under the Create tab and select the image that failed to replicate. 3. Click the **Edit** (*pencil*) icon next to the image repository name, and update the repository path to the new network share. ![Modify image repository](https://cdn.manageengine.com/sites/meweb/images/os-deployer/help/imaging/osd-network-error-2.webp) 4. Retry the image replication from the local office to the remote office. If the problem persists after completing these steps, contact osdeployer-support@manageengine.com for further assistance.
