Managing synchronization

Managing synchronization

The following topics are covered in this section:

Accessing the Synchronization details page

The Synchronization details page allows you to edit the synchronization settings of ManageEngine Analytics Plus. You can access this page in two ways:

  • Navigate to ManageEngine Analytics Plus > Synchronization Details using the Filter Navigator.

  • To access this page from within Analytics Plus, click the Manage App button on the top right corner of Analytics Plus and select the Synchronization details option. This opens the Synchronization details page in a new tab.

The Synchronization details page displays the following details:

  • Account Name: The name of the synchronized ServiceNow instance.

  • Last data sync status: The status of the most recent data synchronization.

  • Last data sync time: The time period of the most recent data synchronization.

  • Schedule: The frequency of data synchronization between ServiceNow and Analytics Plus.

  • Next Schedule Time: The time at which the next data synchronization is scheduled to happen.

  • Timezone: The time zone in which Analytics Plus is set up. It is configured automatically in sync with the timezone settings in ServiceNow.

  • Manual Syncs done: The number of times data has been manually synchronized on a particular day. To synchronize the latest data manually, click Sync now. You can manually synchronize data up to 5 times between schedules.

Note: The Synchronization details page can only be accessed by Analytics Plus admins.

Edit synchronization

Analytics Plus admins can use the Edit synchronization option in the Synchronization details page to edit the ServiceNow data they wish to analyze. You can also change the frequency at which data is synchronized between ServiceNow and Analytics Plus by selecting the required time frame using the How Often drop down box.

Note: If you have developer permissions in ServiceNow, please change to the Analytics Plus application scope. Refer this documentation to know more.

Re-authenticate the application

When the authentication token created during the initial setup expires, you will have to re-authenticate Analytics Plus to continue using the application. The application will display a screen that prompts you to re-authenticate. Click Re-Authenticate in this screen to start the re-authentication process. Click Allow in the pop-up that appears to complete the re-authentication.

Note: Only Account Admins in Analytics Plus can re-authenticate the application. Navigate to ManageEngine Analytics Plus > Subscription using the Filter Navigator to see the user associated with the Account Admin page.
