This section is applicable to all the editions of IT360 - Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition [Central Server and Probes] and the MSP Edition [Central Server and Probes].

You may send SMS alert notifications via a modem to a mobile device.
First, you need to connect a modem. Type of modem supported is: DLink DIR-457. Else, a warning message is displayed as: "Modem is not connected properly. Check your settings!"
Connect your GSM Modem to the 'Serial / USB Communication Port'.
Only a Serial cable must be used for connectivity.
Now, enter the PORT NUMBER, to which the modem is connected, in the textbox.
Note: To find the PORT NUMBER: Click My Computer -> Right click Properties -> go to Hardware -> Device Manager -> Ports (COM & LPT) under Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COM3).
Login to IT360 console with the Username and Password of an Admin user.
Click the Admin tab in the header pane.
Click Connectivity under General.
Click the SMS Server tab. Do the following.
Enter the Port Number to which Modem is connected: for example - COM3 [to find the Port Number, right-click on My Computer and select 'Properties'.Go to Hardware -> Device Manager -> Modems -> Select the applicable modem -> Right Click -> Select Properties -> Click on the Modem tab. You now see the port number].
