Configuring the Syslog Service on Cisco devices

    1. Login to the Firewall.
    2. Go to the config mode;
    3. Configure the switch as given below (here, we have used Catalyst 2900) to send the logs to the EventLog Analyzer server:
      Cisco-ASA# config terminal
      Cisco-ASA (config)# logging host <EventLog _server_IP> [TCP/UDP]/< Port_Number >

    Cisco-ASA (config)# logging trap information

    Cisco-ASA (config)# logging facility local7
