How to turn off Activation Lock on iOS devices?

Description

Activation Lock is a security feature in Find My iPhone provided in iOS devices running iOS 7 or higher. This ensures a device after being reset, can be activated only using the user's Apple ID.

Effect on Corporate devices

If an employee has Activation Lock turned on in a corporate device and returns the device back, it cannot be used again by another employee without the previous employee's Apple ID. To ensure corporate devices can be activated without the user's Apple ID, Activation Lock should be turned off.

Disabling Activation Lock

When an iOS device is supervised using either Apple Configurator or Device Enrollment Program, Activation Lock feature of Find My iPhone is automatically turned off by default. Users can turn on Find My iPhone but Activation Lock cannot be turned on. It is recommended to turn off Activation Lock in corporate-owned devices by supervising them.
