# User not registered for managed distribution Last updated: July 24, 2026 ## Problem When the user tries to install a paid iOS App from the App Catalog, an error message is displayed on the mobile device: "User not registered for managed distribution". ## Cause When the user tries to install a paid App from the App Catalog, the user will be prompted to accept an App distribution invitation. If the user fails to accept the invitation and tries to continue with the app installation, this error occurs because the user is not registered for Managed Distribution. ## Resolution User should follow the steps mentioned below to get themselves registered: 1. Open **App Catalog** on the managed device. 2. Touch the paid iOS App, which needs to be installed. 3. By accepting the invitation, user will be registered for Managed Distribution. If prompted, users should provide their Apple ID and Password. This is a one time process, so users will not have problems in installing a paid App distributed through Managed Distribution. The user has successfully registered for Managed Distribution.
