Components

MSP Central server

Console access is provided via this application, allowing technicians to log in and manage all modules available on the platform.

The web console serves as a centralized hub, empowering administrators to oversee all aspects of managing and monitoring workstations, servers, and ITSM needs from a single interface. This console can be accessed using a browser. Separate client installations are not required to access the web console.

Endpoint agent

The endpoint agent is lightweight software installed in the client systems that are being managed using MSP Central. It acts as a worker to carry out operations as instructed by the central server. The agent can either be installed manually or through the distribution server in all the customer computers that are being managed using MSP Central. For devices in customer branch offices, the agent will contact the distribution server to pull the configurations available for them, deploy them, and update the status back to the server.

Server monitoring agent

The server monitoring agent is required to monitor servers with over 60 performance metrics, intuitive dashboards, RCA, IT automation, and instant alerting mechanisms. This agent also helps monitor business-critical applications that run on the servers, event logs, files, directories, and more.

On-Premise Poller

For network monitoring, the On-Premise Poller helps monitor internal network devices and servers behind a firewall or VPN. The On-Premise Poller can be installed in various branch offices within distributed organizations.

Distribution server

The MSP Central distribution server is installed in one of the computers in the branch offices. The agents in that remote office will communicate with the distribution server to pull the information for all the devices in that customer's branch office. The agents that reside in the branch office devices will contact the distribution server to get the information available to them and process requests. This results in low bandwidth utilization, as only one agent will contact the server periodically.

It is mandatory for the AD connector to be one of the distribution servers within the organization.
