## What are the types of devices supported in OpManager?

- Any device with a valid IP Address can be monitored using OpManager with the help of its [Device Templates](https://www.manageengine.com/network-monitoring/device-discovery/).

- OpManager supports several device types. It has around 9900 [Device Templates](https://www.manageengine.com/network-monitoring/help/device-templates.html) and 53k Vendor Templates that help in classifying and monitoring devices of different types.

- Apart from these, you can also add Custom Device Types using [Custom Device Templates](https://www.manageengine.com/network-monitoring//how-to/classify-devices-under-correct-devicetype.html#newtemplate).

- OpManager comes with built-in [Device Categories](https://www.manageengine.com/network-monitoring/help/default-maps.html) like Servers, Routers, Switches, Firewall, Wireless, etc with which the devices are classified into different categories.

- Apart from the built-in Categories, you can also create [Custom Categories](https://www.manageengine.com/network-monitoring/help/add-infrastructure-views.html) to further segregate your devices into more defined groups of your choice.
