A webhook is a user-defined HTTP request that is sent from a source site to a unique URL of an application when a particular event takes place. Webhooks allow applications to communicate between themselves and facilitate operations in an effective and faster way. Besides API, OpManager now supports webhook out-of-the-box.
The primary difference between a webhook and an API is that the former is event-based and the latter is request-based. Webhooks come in handy when events/data need to be updated in a 3rd party application in real-time.
Let us discuss configuring webhooks in OpManager with the following examples.
Microsoft Teams is a personal/workplace communication and collaboration platform that helps you stay connected over chat, calls, and video meetings.
