## How Network Configuration Manager adds value to OpManager?

NCM is available as a stand-alone product and as an add-on to OpManager. While OpManager helps you detect whenever a device is down, you can use the NCM add-on to rule out the possibility of downtime due to erroneous configuration changes. NCM not only spots the underlying configuration issues, it also brings devices up and running in seconds by allowing you to upload a stable configuration version. Therefore, by using NCM as an add-on to OpManager, you can achieve unified network and configuration management from a single console.

### Trigger backups and reduce network device down time

For every device you monitor using OpManager, you can trigger backups using NCM and store them. During a network outage, you can push these backups to network devices and reduce network downtime efficiently.
