How to deploy patches of Skype using upload option?

Description

Typically, the Patch Manager Plus server retrieves patches directly from the vendor sites and then subsequently gets deployed to the endpoints. In certain cases, patches can't be directly downloaded due to SSL Handshake exception error that occurs when there is an issue with the communication between the client and server. In such case, you can manually download the patch and upload it to the patch store directly from the console using the upload patches option.

Steps

Follow the steps given below to resolve this issue:

  • Download the updates of the Skype manually.
  • Click on Upload near the Download failed error message. Using the Upload option you can install this patch.
  • Otherwise, navigate to Patches -> Downloaded Patches -> Upload Patches -> Search for the Bulletin ID TU-032 for Windows and MAC-031 for Mac, then click on Upload under Action.
  • Then select Install Patches to deploy.
