# Patch Download Failure - "Error 404"

## Problem

You are trying to download patches of Microsoft/ other vendors. However, Patch download fails with error message: "Error Code 404".

## Cause

The possible reasons could be:

- The Patch is a Feature Pack, hence can't be downloaded directly.
- The Patch is an older version of Java (Java Versions 6 and 7), and so it can't be downloaded properly.

## Resolution

- If the Patch is a Feature Pack, refer [Feature Pack Deployment](https://www.manageengine.com/patch-management/how-to/cloud-windows-10-feature-pack-deployment.html) and follow the steps given in that document.
- If the Patch is an older version of Java, refer to this [document](https://www.manageengine.com/patch-management/help/workaround-for-java.html) and follow the steps as mentioned there.
