Sending SNMP Traps to Management Systems
PAM360 facilitates raising SNMP Traps to your management systems on the occurrence of various password actions and audit events. Sending SNMP traps is a two-step process:
- Configuring the SNMP
- Configuring the events for which you wish to generate traps
Step 1: Configuring the SNMP
SNMP Trap Settings
PAM360 has built-in support to send a SNMP v2c trap to the desired host and port. The varbinds include the resource name, account name, name of the user who operated, IP address from which the user operated, date and time and the reason of the operation that resulted in the event.
To configure SNMP trap settings,
- Navigate to Admin >> Integration >> SNMP Traps
- In the dialog box that opens, switch to SNMP Trap Receiver tab and enter the name of the host which has to receive the traps, its port and the SNMP community.
- Click "Save"
