# PAM360 Remote Connect Release Notes ## Version 5.1 (5110) **Release Type:** Minor **Release Date:** 29th May 2026 **Upgrades** - Microsoft Edge Update component associated with the WebView2 Runtime installer (MicrosoftEdgeWebView2RuntimeInstallerX64.exe) has been upgraded from version 1.0.1210.39 to 1.3.229.3. - The third-party library Newtonsoft.Json has been upgraded from version 12.0.3 to 13.0.2 to address high-severity vulnerabilities. **Security Enhancement** Removed the vulnerable third-party library libcurl due to security compliance requirements. ## Version 5.1 (5100) **Release Type:** Major **Release Date:** 08th April 2026 **Enhancements** - PAM360 Remote Connect now allows users to initiate RDP and SSH connections using their logged-in AD/Entra ID/LDAP credentials. - In environments configured with an SSH proxy, users can initiate remote connections to resources that require ticket ID-based approval by providing a valid ticket ID. **Bug Fix** Previously, when an SSH proxy was configured and a reason was required for session initiation, the connection failed. This issue has now been fixed. ## Version 5.0 (5010) **Release Type:** Minor **Release Date:** 30th December 2025 **Enhancements** - In the Resources pane, the resource type information displayed under each resource name has been replaced with the corresponding DNS name, providing clearer resource identification. - Users can now search for resources in the Resources pane using DNS names, making it easier to locate specific resources in large environments. ## Version 5.0 (5000) **Release Type:** Major **Release Date:** 19th December 2025 **Enhancements** - PAM360 Remote Connect now extends its Application Credential Injection capabilities to support SAP Logon, in addition to existing third-party thick-client applications such as DBeaver and MySQL Workbench. During SAP login through PAM360 Remote Connect, credentials are automatically and securely retrieved from the PAM360 server and injected, eliminating the need for manual credential entry and significantly reducing the risk of credential exposure. - Remote sessions initiated through PAM360 Remote Connect can now be recorded by enabling the corresponding option under **Admin >> Privileged Session >> Session Configuration** in PAM360. This enhancement improves session visibility, strengthens auditing, and supports compliance requirements. **Note:** Session recording is supported only when PAM360 Remote Connect is installed on machines running Windows 11. ## Version 4.1 (4110) **Release Type:** Minor **Release Date:** 21st November 2025 **Enhancement** PAM360 Remote Connect now allows users to raise password access requests for Windows Domain resources shared with them directly from the Remote Connect application, eliminating the need to switch to the PAM360 web interface, thus improving usability and overall efficiency. ## Version 4.1 (4100) **Release Type:** Major **Release Date:** 11th July 2025 **New Feature** ### Application Credential Injection PAM360 Remote Connect now supports Application Credential Injection, a new feature designed to streamline and secure access to database servers through third-party thick-client applications such as DBeaver and MySQL Workbench. This feature automatically populates the required database credentials and connection details into the thick-client application, enabling seamless connections via PAM360 Remote Connect. The necessary information is securely retrieved from the PAM360 server, eliminating the need for manual input and reducing the risk of credential exposure. With this alternative, users can seamlessly enter and exit full-screen mode during RDP sessions and further utilize the keyboard shortcuts in the full-screen mode. - Administrators managing multiple organizations (MSP/Client) can now switch between organizations in PAM360 Remote Connect to launch remote sessions to the desired resources. ## Version 4.0 (4020) **Release Type:** Minor **Release Date:** 09th May 2024 **Enhancement** Introducing SSH Proxy support in PAM360 Remote Connect. With this latest enhancement, connections between user machines and target endpoints are tunneled seamlessly through an SSH connection with a designated proxy resource, thus eliminating the direct communication between the Remote Connect application and targeted endpoints, ensuring enhanced security and smoother connectivity. **Upgrade** The PuTTY version has been upgraded from 0.80 to 0.81. **Bug Fix** Previously, remote sessions to resources lacking local accounts were inaccessible using domain account credentials. This issue has now been resolved. ## Version 4.0 (4010) **Release Type:** Minor **Release Date:** 25th Jan 2024 **Upgrade** The PuTTY version has been upgraded from version 0.75 to 0.8. **Bug Fix** Earlier, from build 4000, the Remote Connect application failed and closed during the remote session when resizing the application's window. This issue has now been fixed. ## Version 4.0 (4001) **Release Type:** Hotfix **Release Date:** 03rd Nov 2022 **Bug Fixes** - From build 4000 onwards, users could not launch remote connections to SSH-based devices when the 'Reason for access' field contained spaces. This issue has been fixed. - From build 4000 onwards, the scroll bar in the 'Resources' pane was not visible on larger screens. This issue has been fixed.
