Configure File Servers

 

This reporting module provides audit information on user logon or log-off on Local Machines via VPN. Internet Authentication Service (IAS) was renamed Network Policy Server (NPS) starting with Windows Server 2008.

 

Pre-configured Audit Reports for Local Logon / Logoff:   

Report Name

Function

Logon Duration of Computers

This report list in detail all logon activities on Local machines in a given domain. The session time (or) Logon duration of each session is listed. Logon Duration of Domain Controllers and Member Servers is reported.

Logon Failures of Computers

This report provides information on all logon failures on Local Machines in a Domain. Domain Controller and Member Server logon failures is reported.

Logon History of Computers.

This report provides the history information of all activities on a Local machine. Both success and failure events are listed down in detail with their complete change information. Logon History of Domain Controllers and Member Servers is reported.

Terminal Services activity on Computers.

This report lists in detail all terminal services logons that happened on domain controller machines and Member Server machines. It lists both the success and failure values.

Scheduling Local Logon Logoff reports

Click on the "schedule reports" link to the top right of the table to shedule and also email notify scheduled reports.

 

 

Logon Duration of Computers:

 

This report provides Logon Duration of a user on any computer in the network. This it does by collection Local Logon and Logoff information. ADAudit Plus will be able to report the Logon Duration of Member Servers and Domain Controllers. 

To view an Audit Report on Logon activities on domain controllers

  1. Click on the 'Reports' Tab -->> Local Logon Logoff -->> Logon Duration

  2. Select the Domain

  3. Select the Computer (Use the "Add" button to select computers - A Domain Controller or Member Server can be selected).

  4. Select the Period (Period between 1 hr and 23 hours) A custom period can also be selected.

  5. This Lists the audit information on 'Logon Activity on selected computers for the selected period.

This report can be used to determine the "Logon Duration" or "Session Time" for user logons on Domain controllers and Members. ADAudit Plus calculates the difference between logon and logoff times to display the session time.

 

Change details like who has logged in, the type of logon, the machine details,

 

Logon Failures of Computers:

 

This report lists in detail all the logon failures that happened on a Computer. (A Domain Controller or Member Server can be selected)

 

To view an audit report on logon failures on domain controllers.

  1. Click on the 'Reports' Tab -->> Local Logon Logoff -->> Logon Failures

  2. Select the Domain

  3. Select the Domain Controllers (Use the "Add" button to add a computer - A Domain Controller or Member Server can be selected).

  4. Select the Period (Period between 1 hr and 23 hours) A custom period can also be selected.

  5. This Lists the audit information on 'Logon Failures on the 'selected computers' for the selected period.

  6. Bar charts display information on the logon failures for each of the users who has attempted a login into the Computer.

Logon History of Computers:

 

This report provides the history information of all activities on a Computer. Both success and failure events are listed down in detail with their complete change for the life span of the Computer machine or from the time when auditing is enabled.(Domain Controller machines and Member Servers can be selected).

 

To view an audit report on logon history of domain controllers.

  1. Click on the 'Reports' Tab -->> Local Logon Logoff -->> Logon History of the Computer.

  2. Select the Domain

  3. Select the Domain Controllers (Use the "Add" button to add a computer - A Domain Controller or Member Server can be selected).

  4. Select the Period (Period between 1 hr and 23 hours) A custom period can also be selected.

  5. This lists the complete history of logons on selected domain controller machines.

  6. A bar chart displays the information of the history of actions done by each user on a given "domain controller machine" or "member server machine".

Terminal Services activity on Computers:

 

This report lists in detail all terminal services logons that happened on domain controller machine (or) Member Server machine. It lists both the success and failure values only the terminal service logins.

To view an audit report on Terminal services activity on domain controllers.

  1. Click on the 'Reports' Tab -->> Local Logon Logoff -->> Terminal Services activity on computers

  2. Select the Domain

  3. Select the Domain Controllers (Use the "Add" button to add a computer - A Domain Controller or Member Server can be selected).

  4. Select the Period (Period between 1 hr and 23 hours) A custom period can also be selected.

  5. This lists the terminal services logon attempts on selected computers in the domain.

  6. A bar chart displays the various times at which a terminal service logon attempt was done and also the total number of attempts each hour for the period selected.
