Environment Variable

An environment variable is a name or value pair that can be used as macros for values that rarely change like Authtoken, IDs, etc. They can be used in the place of URL, Header, Parameter, and Message Body while creating a new webhook template.

Steps to create a new environment variable

    1. Navigate to Admin → General Settings → Server Settings → Environment Variable.
    2. Click on Add Variable to add a new variable.
    3. Fill in the mandatory fields. Type in a name for the macro and map a value to it in the Name and Value fields respectively.
    4. To encrypt the data in the Value field, make sure to toggle on Secure.
    5. Click on Add.
Note: If the secure option is enabled, the variable is masked in the UI and encrypted in the database for added security.
