How to configure Zia chat assistant in ADManager Plus

Zia is the AI-powered chat assistant in ADManager Plus that helps administrators perform routine Active Directory management tasks and generate reports using natural language prompts, without navigating multiple pages.

With Zia, you can:

• Understand natural language queries
• Execute AD management actions
• Generate on-demand reports on users, groups, contacts, and computers, based on queries and applied filters
• Provide contextual, conversational assistance directly within the ADManager Plus console

Prerequisites

Before configuring Zia in ADManager Plus, make sure that the following conditions are satisfied:

• You are signed in as an ADManager Plus administrator, or with a delegated role that has rights to perform the required actions.
• You have an active Azure OpenAI subscription with a valid API key.
• The ADManager Plus server has outbound HTTPS connectivity to the required Azure OpenAI endpoints.
• There is proper directory connectivity between ADManager Plus and the target domains or managed endpoints.

How to configure Zia

1. Log in to ADManager Plus.
2. Navigate to Admin > General Settings > Zia Configuration.
3. Click the Azure OpenAI icon to open the configuration settings.
4. Enter the Endpoint URL, Deployment Name, and API key to configure the integration.
5. Click Save.
6. Toggle the switch to Enabled.
