Sharing an automation policy

    The Share Automation Policy option makes it possible for administrators and help desk technicians to share automation policies with fellow help desk technicians and technician groups with either the View or Edit level of access.

    To share an automation:

    1. Log in to ADManager Plus.
    2. Click the Automation tab.
    3. In the left pane, under Configuration, click Automation Policy. You will now be able to see the list of all existing automation policies.
    4. Point the cursor over the name of the automation policy that you wish to share, then click icon-share.
    5. In the Share Automation Policy window that pops up, click Choose and select the desired technicians. If you wish to share this automation policy with all the technicians, then select the Share with all technicians option.
    6. Note:
      • There are two levels of share access that can be given to a technician.
        • The technicians with whom the automation policy is shared with the View level of access will have permission only to view, copy, and execute the automation policy.
        • Technicians with the Edit level of access can copy, execute, and edit the automation policy. They will not be able to share it with the other technicians.
      • You can also find the level of permissions (View or Edit) given to a technician using the Filter by option.
    7. Click Share.
