    Bulk Contact Creation

    Using this option, you can create Microsoft 365 (formerly known as Office 365) contact objects in bulk.

    Steps:

    1. Click the Microsoft 365 tab.
    2. Select Management from the left navigation section and click Contact Management.
    3. Under the Bulk Contact Creation section, click on the Create Bulk Contacts option.
    4. Choose the required Microsoft 365 Tenant Account.
    5. Import the CSV file that has the contact details and click on Import Contacts.
    6. Select the required contact objects and click on Apply.

    (Mandatory fields marked by *)

    Header in CSV file Description
    Name* Specifies the unique name of mail contact.
    ExternalEmailAddress* Specifies the target email address of the mail contact or mail user.
    FirstName Specifies the user's first name.
    LastName Specifies the user's last name.
    DisplayName Specifies the display name of the mail contact.
    ModeratedBy Specifies one or more moderators for this mail contact. A moderator approves messages sent to the mail contact and it must be a mailbox, mail user, or mail contact in your organization
    Alias Specifies the Exchange alias (also known as the mail nickname) for the recipient.
    Initials Specifies the user's middle initials.
    ModerationEnabled Specifies whether moderation is enabled for this recipient.
    SendModerationNotifications
    1. Always : Notify all senders when their messages aren't approved. This is the default value.
    2. Internal : Notify senders in the organization when their messages aren't approved.
    3. Never :Don't notify anyone when a message isn't approved.

    Delete Contacts

    Using this option, you can delete the Microsoft 365 (formerly known as Office 365) contact objects.

    Steps:

    1. Click the Microsoft 365 tab.
    2. Select Management from the left navigation section and click Contact Management.
    3. Under the Bulk Contact Modification section, click on the Delete Contacts option.
    4. Choose the required Microsoft 365 TenantAccount.
    5. Find the contacts either by:
      1. Importing the CSV file that has the list of required contacts.
      2. Using the built-in search option.
    6. Select the required contact objects and click on Apply.

    Contact Attribute Changes

    This option allows you to modify the attributes of multiple contact objects in one go.

    Steps:

    1. Click the Microsoft 365 tab.
    2. Select Management from the left navigation section and click Contact Management.
    3. Under the Bulk Contact Modification section, click on the Contact Attribute Changes option.
    4. Choose the required Microsoft 365 Tenant Account.
    5. Import the CSV file that has the details of the contact attributes and click on Import Contacts.
    6. Select the required contact objects and click on Apply.

    Hide/Unhide Contacts

    This option allows you to hide or unhide contacts from Global Address Lists in bulk.

    Steps:

    1. Click the Microsoft 365 tab.
    2. Select Management from the left navigation section and click Contact Management.
    3. Under the Bulk Contact Modification section, click on the Hide/Unhide Contacts option.
    4. Based on your requirements, select from the following options:
      1. Hide from address lists
      2. Unhide from address lists
    5. Choose the required Microsoft 365 Tenant Account.
    6. Find the contacts either by:
      1. Importing the CSV file that has the list of required contacts.
      2. Using the built-in search option.
    7. Select the required contact objects and click on Apply.

    Modify Contact Custom Attributes

    Using this option, you can modify the values of custom attributes of contact objects.

    Steps:

    1. Click the Microsoft 365 tab.
    2. Select Management from the left navigation section and click Contact Management.
    3. Under the Bulk Contact Modification section, click on the Modify Contact Custom Attributes option.
    4. Select the name of the custom attribute and provide a value for it. Click on the '+' symbol if you want to modify additional custom attributes.
    5. Choose the required Microsoft 365 Tenant Account.
    6. Find the contacts either by:
      1. Importing the CSV file that has the list of required contacts.
      2. Using the built-in search option.
    7. Select the required contact objects and click on Apply.

    Mandatory fields marked by *

    Header in CSV file Description
    Identity* Specifies the unique name of object.
    CustomAttribute1 to CustomAttribute15 These parameters specify custom attributes. You can use these attributes to store additional information.Value should contain not more than 1024 characters.
    ExtensionCustomAttribute1 to ExtensionCustomAttribute5 These paramenters specify custom attributes that store additional information. You can specify multiple values for these parameters as a comma delimited list.

    Modify Contact Custom Attributes using CSV

    The custom attributes can be modified for multiple contacts simultaneously by importing a CSV containing the necessary details. The following steps will guide you through the process.

    1. Navigate to Microsoft 365 → Management → Contact Management → Bulk Contact Modification → Modify Contact Custom Attributes using CSV.
    2. Add the Microsoft 365 Tenant and contacts. Then add the CSV file containing the Microsoft 365 contact details and the Custom Attributes to be modified.
    3. Click Import Contact(s).

    Set Manager to Mail Contacts

    This feature allows you to configure manager details to mail contacts in bulk. Follow these steps to configure the same.

    1. Navigate to Microsoft 365 → Management → Contact Management → Bulk Contact Modification → Set Manager to Mail Contacts
    2. Choose the Manager.
    3. Add the Microsoft 365 Tenant and contacts. You can either add the contacts via Search or you can import them from the CSV file.
    4. Click Apply.

    Modify SMTP Address of Contacts

    The SMTP Address of contacts can be modified in bulk by following these steps.

    1. Navigate to Microsoft 365 → Management → Contact Management → Bulk Contact Modification → Modify SMTP Address of Contacts.
    2. In the Modify Email Addresses option add the SMTP address of the contacts. In case you want to replace the existing SMTP address with the ones provided, check the Replace Existing Email Addresses checkbox.
    3. You can also add the External Email Address for the contact in the provided field.
    4. Add the Microsoft 365 Tenant and contacts. You can either add the contacts via Search or you can import them from the CSV file.
    5. Click Apply.
