Naming Attributes

    You can decide the format in which your contacts Display Name and Full Name need to be displayed in your address book. ADManager Plus offers the flexibility of allowing you to define your own formats in which you want the contacts to be displayed.

    Procedure:

    You must first select the format in which you want to list the contact s Display Name and Full Name. Then apply the format to the list of contacts which can be imported using CSV File.

    Steps:

    • Click AD Mgmt - -> Contact Management - -> Contact attributes

    • From the drop down menu, choose an appropriate format for the display name. You can also define your own naming format. Click here to know how to use Naming Format ( link to naming format)

    • In the same way, from the drop down menu, choose the desired format to display the contacts Full Name

    Caution: Modifying the Full Name Format may cause changes to the existing account.

    • From the drop down menu, select the domain  in which the Contacts are located.( Note: If you know the OU in which the Contacts are located, click the add OUs button and select the appropriate OU)

    • You can now use one of the following options to list the computers that have to be deleted.

      • You can import the CSV file (sample CSV file) which contains the list of computers that have to be deleted. After importing the CSV file, from the drop down menu (on the right hand side), select the attribute based on which you want to display the contact objects.

                                                                      Or

      • Use the Search option to search for the contacts (Note: To list all the contacts in the domain, hit the search button without entering anything in the Search box.

    • Now, use the check box to select the desired list of contacts and click Apply.

      The change summary and the status of the modification can be verified.

     Roll over the mouse over the  icon to see the attributes in the windows native UI.
