User Creation Templates
Streamline your Active Directory user provisioning with ADManager Plus's User Creation Templates. These powerful templates allow you to preconfigure all essential user account attributes in a single setup. When creating a new user, simply apply a template—the defined values are automatically populated, eliminating the need for manual entry.
Beyond simplifying user provisioning, templates offer:
- Customizable interface: Use the intuitive drag-and-drop component to precisely control which attributes are visible, editable, or hidden. This allows you to delegate user creation to helpdesk technicians, limiting their access to only the fields relevant to their responsibilities.
- Effortless data population: Speed up template configuration using the Copy User Attributes option. Simply replicate attribute values from an existing user account to quickly prefill your template fields.
- Smart automation with Creation Rules: Beyond static values, define dynamic Creation Rules to auto-populate fields or trigger attribute updates based on specific conditions, adapting to your organization’s unique policies and naming conventions.
Consider the common challenge of onboarding 20 new sales representatives. Instead of creating each account individually:
- Create a Sales Team template with predefined attributes like department, location, and access permissions.
- Import user data from a CSV file containing the new employees' basic information.
- Apply the template to create all 20 user accounts with consistent settings in minutes.
