Modify Exchange (2010/2013/2016) Mailbox Policies

    This feature allows you to associate users in Exchange Server 2010 or 2013 or 2016 environment with all or any of the following Exchange mailbox policies:

    • Sharing Policy
    • Role Assignment Policy
    • Retention Policy
    • ActiveSync Policy
    • Unified Messaging (UM) Policy

    Procedure:

    Once you have configure the required policies in your Exchange environment, you can select the required policies and associate them with all the appropriate users using the Exchange Policies option in the bulk user modification feature of ADManager Plus.

    Steps:   

    1. Click on AD Mgmt tab.

    2. In User Management, go to Exchange Limits --> Exchange Policies. This will take you to the 'Modify Exchange 2010/2013/2016 Policies for Users' page.

    3. Select the required Sharing Policy, Role Assignment Policy, Retention Policy and the ActiveSync Policy from the available options.

    4. Similarly, select the required UM Policy and provide the appropriate values for SIP address, PIN and Extension of the user. You can force a user to reset the PIN by selecting the require user to reset their PIN the first time they sign in option.

    5. Select the domain in which the desired user accounts are located; you can also specify the appropriate OUs using Add OUs option.

    6. Specify the users for whom this task has to be performed:

      • Via a CSV file, which has the users list, using the CSV Import option
      • Using the search option to locate the desired users
    7. In the summary view, you can see the list of selected policies. Select the users for whom you wish to apply the policies and click on Apply.

    Note: : Since SIP Address and Extension values are unique, you can apply UM policy to only one user at a time. You can use this feature to either

    • Apply all the Exchange policies including UM policy to a particular user, or
    • Apply the other Exchange policies in bulk, to multiple users, and apply the UM policy alone separately, on a case by case basis, to the required users.
