Applications Manager's [Azure Application Insight monitoring](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/azure-application-insights-monitoring.html) provides visibility into availability percentages, request rates and durations, server-side and browser exceptions, dependency calls, browser page timings, and process-level CPU and memory. ## Creating a new Microsoft Azure Application Insight Monitor To learn how to create a new Microsoft Azure Application Insight monitor, [click here](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/microsoft-azure.html#newmonitor). ## Monitored Parameters Navigate to the **Category View** by clicking the **Monitors** tab. Hover over 'Child Monitors' under **Microsoft Azure** in the Cloud Apps table, and then select the **Application Insights** monitor from the displayed tooltip. This action will display the bulk configuration view for Microsoft Azure Application Insight in three tabs: - **Availability** tab gives the availability history for the past 24 hours or 30 days. - **Performance** tab gives the health status and events for the past 24 hours or 30 days. - **List view** tab enables you to perform [bulk admin configurations](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/bulk-config.html). Following are the list of metrics monitored in [Microsoft Azure Application Insight Monitoring](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/azure-application-insight-monitoring-tools.html) in their corresponding tabs: - [Performance Overview](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/azure-application-insight-monitoring-tools.html#performanceoverview) - [Server Requests](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/azure-application-insight-monitoring-tools.html#serverrequests) - [Exceptions & Dependencies](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/azure-application-insight-monitoring-tools.html#exceptionsdependencies) - [Browser Timings & Page Views](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/azure-application-insight-monitoring-tools.html#browsertimingspageviews) - [Configuration](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/help/azure-application-insight-monitoring-tools.html#configuration) ### Performance Overview | Parameter | Description | |---|---| | **PERFORMANCE UTILIZATION** | | | Availability | The average percentage of web test runs that returned results successfully for the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals (in %). | | Process CPU | The average percentage of time all process threads used the processor to execute instructions for the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals (in %). | | Processor Time | The average percentage of time the processor spends in non-idle threads for the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals (in %). | | **AVAILABILITY TESTS** | | | Availability Test Rate | The number of availability test results per minute for the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals (in tests/min). | | Availability Tests | The number of availability test results logged by the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals. | | **AVAILABILITY TEST DURATION** | | | Availability Test Duration | The average duration of availability test runs for the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals (in ms). | | **MEMORY PROCESS** | | | Available Memory | The average physical memory available for allocation to a process or for system use for the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals (in MB). | | Process Private | The average memory exclusively assigned to the monitored application's processes for the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals (in MB). | | **PROCESS I/O RATE** | | | Process I/O Rate | The average total data read and written to files, network, and devices for the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals (in MB/s). | | **TRACES** | | | Traces | The number of trace documents collected by the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals. | ### Server Requests | Parameter | Description | |---|---| | **HTTP REQUESTS RATE** | | | HTTP Requests Rate | The average rate of all HTTP requests to the application per second for the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals (in requests/s). | | **SERVER REQUESTS** | | | Server Requests | The number of HTTP requests completed by the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals. | | Failed Requests | The number of failed HTTP requests with a response code of 400 or higher for the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals. | | **HTTP REQUESTS IN APPLICATION QUEUE** | | | HTTP Requests In Application Queue | The average number of HTTP requests waiting in the application queue for the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals. | | **REQUEST DURATION** | | | Server Response Time | The average time between receiving an HTTP request and finishing sending the response for the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals (in ms). | | HTTP Request Execution Time | The average execution time of HTTP requests for the Azure Application Insight between the poll intervals (in ms). | **Note:** Server Requests metrics are mapped under Performance Polling.
