# Setting up Real User Monitoring This page serves as a guide on the prerequisites for installing the DEM Collector and as an index for the Real User Monitor configuration help pages. Please note that there are two different versions of configuring [Real User Monitoring](https://www.manageengine.com/products/applications_manager/real-user-monitoring.html), depending on the version of Applications Manager you are using. By following the detailed instructions provided, you can ensure that your DEM Collector is properly installed and configured to effectively capture and analyze user interactions with your web application. ## System Requirements The DEM Collector must be installed on a dedicated Windows / Linux machine - 8 GB RAM. The DEM Collector can work with both the Professional Edition and Enterprise Edition (with Probe Server) of Applications Manager.
