# Agent Installation Failure Target Account Name Incorrect

## Problem

When you try to install an agent using the Scope of Management (SoM) and the installation fails with the error message — **target account name incorrect**.

## Cause

When a computer is imaged and copied to a different computer, you may end up with two computers having the same account name. Since there are two computers with the same name, the targeted computer cannot be identified by the Endpoint Central Agent, resulting in the error message **target account name incorrect**.

## Resolution

Renaming the computer will solve the problem.
