# Agent Installation - Knowledge base ## "Not enough storage available to process this command" ### Problem You see the error message, **"Not enough storage available to process this command"** on the screen, when the following operations fail: - Agent/Distribution server installation - Patch and asset scanning - Remote control ### Cause You see this error if the IRPStackSize registry entry on the client computer is set too low. ### Resolution You can resolve this issue by increasing the IRPStackSize registry in the client computer in which the error occurred. To increase the IRPStackSize registry, follow the steps given below: 1. Click **start** > **Run** 2. Enter **regedit** 3. Click **OK** 4. Expand **HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters** 5. Double-click **parameters** 6. Right-click on the IRPStackSize and click **Modify** **Note**: If the IRPStackSize entry is not present in this subkey, follow the steps given below to create it: 1. Click **Edit** 2. Point to **New** 3. Click **DWORD Value** 4. Enter a name for the IRPStackSize value 5. Press **Enter** **Note**: Enter a name for the IRPStackSize value exactly as it appears. The value name is case sensitive. 7. In the **Value data** field, enter a value larger than the original value 8.
