A **path** refers to a location where files and other resources can be stored. By establishing a path, multiple files can be shared among users in the same domain through a network component. While searching for an executable file, certain applications, functions and utilities will use path prefixes that the path environment variable will contain and the path configuration in Endpoint Central enables users to add path prefixes to this variable easily. ## How to configure a path? 1. In Endpoint Central Console, navigate to *Configurations tab > Add Configurations > Configurations > Windows* 2. Select **Path** and choose **User** 3. Define the **Name** and **Description** for the configuration.
