NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) is a government-backed cybersecurity framework that helps organizations protect against common cyber threats through essential security controls. Endpoint Central supports compliance auditing for specific NIST benchmarks, helping organizations perform and track compliance checks across endpoints.

Perform NIST Compliance Checks

Navigate to Compliance → Policy Groups → Create Policy Groups (Windows). In the Policy Group settings page, you can see the following policies listed:

  • NIST 800 171 Security Guidelines NIST
  • NIST 80053 Security Guidelines NIST

Select the required policies to create a policy group and perform compliance checks, similar to how it is done for other CIS compliance audits. To learn more about performing compliance audits, refer to this page.
