Vulnerability Detection for macOS

ManageEngine Endpoint Central now supports vulnerability management on macOS endpoints. You can now have complete visibility into vulnerabilities on your macOS endpoints, with the ability to deploy associated patches for remediation and handle exceptions for false positives or accepted risks.

This is how it works:

1. Agent Onboarding: Agents can now be deployed on macOS endpoints. Once onboarded, vulnerabilities are automatically detected and reported in the product console during subsequent scans.
2. Vulnerability Detection: Vulnerabilities; including zero-days are identified based on installed software versions. The onboarded agent ensures accurate detection of vulnerabilities on macOS devices.
3. Patch Management: Associated patches for detected vulnerabilities will be listed. These patches can be deployed either manually or automatically using an Automate Patch Deployment task to remediate the vulnerabilities.
4. Exception Handling: Vulnerabilities that are false positives or accepted as known risks can be marked as exceptions.
