Issues while deploying Windows updates

Note: We recommend you install the latest updates to avail all latest fixes.

 You might have encountered the following error codes while deploying Microsoft's security updates. Microsoft reported these known issues and they are still working on a resolution.

 1. An issue arises when you try to deploy Windows patches to PAE disabled machines. 

A "Stop error" issue pertains in Windows devices that have their PAE disabled when subjected to Windows updates. This specific issue was reported in KB4088878.

Error Message: Unknown error code 1035.

 2. An issue arises when you try to deploy patches to Windows machines which have SMB server that is enabled with ECP.

This issue can potentially cause memory leaks from the machine if Windows patches get deployed to the SMB server machines which have ECP enabled. Microsoft reported this issue in monthly roll-up/security only updates released for Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1.

Error Message: Unknown error code 1030.

 3. An issue arises in machines that don't have SSE2 instruction set when you deploy Windows patches.

A "Stop error" issue pertains in Windows devices that don't support SSE2 instruction set. This issue was reported in monthly roll-up/security only updates released for Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1.
