iTunes Store ID cannot be validated

Problem

End user is trying to install Apps that are distributed using Desktop Central and the App installation fails with the error message saying "iTunes Store ID cannot be validated"

Cause

You might get this error message if the system administrator distributes an App, which belongs to a different country in the App Store. When the end user tries to install the App, an error message is displayed "Apple ID cannot be validated".

Resolution

You can install the distributed App by changing the Apple ID to another country in the end user's mobile device. You can ask the end user to follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Go to Settings on the manage mobile device
  2. Click iTunes & App Stores
  3. Touch the existing Apple ID, you can see an option to View / iForgot / Signout/ Cancel / the Apple ID.
  4. Touch View Apple ID
  5. Enter the password when prompted.
  6. You can see the option where you can change the Country/Region. Identify to which Country should the Apple ID be modified in order to install the specific App.
  7. Touch the Store button to find the list of countries and you can touch Done to save the changes.

You have successfully changed the country for your Apple ID. You will now be able to install the App based on the country that you have selected.
