MDM License Count Exceeded


You are trying to distribute a paid App to a Group/Device, and the distribution fails with the error message "License count is exceeded"


You will get this error message if you do not have sufficient redemption codes/ VPP files to distribute a paid App.


You need to see the number of redemption codes/VPP files available and distribute it to the same number of devices, or you need to add new redemption codes and upload the new VPP file to distribute App store Apps. To add more redemption codes follow the steps mentioned below;

  1. Click MDM Tab
  2. Under App Repository select the App
  3. Under License Details click License tab
  4. Select Add License and upload the new VPP files.

Now, you will be able to distribute the paid Apps to Groups/Devices.
