Network errors during image creator component installation

If you get any of these network errors during image creator component installation follow the below resolution,

  1. In the machine where you are installing the image creator component, open command prompt and execute the command Ping <server host name> to check connectivity. If it is not connecting, ping using IP address by executing command Ping <server IP address>
  2. If you are able to reach the computer using IP address, specify the computer's IP address while creating image. network error

If you are unable to reach the computer, check for network connections and ensure that you establish proper connection between the server and the target computer where you want to perform imaging.

Network errors while configuring Image/Driver repository

If you get any of these network errors while configuring image/driver repository follow the below resolution,

  1. In the machine where server is installed, open command prompt and execute the command Ping <Image repository machine host name> to check connectivity. If it is not connecting, ping using IP address by executing command Ping <Image repository machine IP address>

If you are unable to reach the computer, check for network connections and ensure that you establish proper connection between the deployment machine and the computer which has the network share.

Checking machine's availability is Domain

For these errors, either the machine is not available in the DNS or the DNS is not responding to the request. To resolve this, remove the target machine from the domain and add it again. Also, ensure that the DNS service is actively running.

Configure Windows firewall/antivirus

Ensure that the firewall/antivirus doesn't block the target's reachability within network.

If you still get network errors inspite after reaching out to the computer using IP address, refer this document and resolve this issue or contact support.
