Patch Deployment Failed - "File System Corrupted"

Problem

You are trying to install patches to one of the computers, and deployment of more than 5 patches have failed. You might get one of the following error messages

• "Unknown Error Code: 2145124329"
• Failure The SMI primitive installer failed during setup or servicing
• Failure Element not found
  

Cause

You might get one of the above-listed error messages if the client's operating system is corrupted.

Resolution

You will have to follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Refer to this article, and use System File Checker Tool to resolve this issue.
2. If the problem still persists, you will have to use the System Readiness Tool, to get it fixed.
3. Else use the troubleshooting patch which we've released by following the steps given in this document to resolve this issue.
