Cannot proceed with scan/deployment since Yum is already running

Problem

You can see the error message during a scan or deployment process.

Cause

The following are the possible reasons:

  1. The user might have initiated a software installation at his end.
  2. The yumbackend.py process i.e. the automatic updates for RedHat could be running.

Resolution:

The following steps will help in resolution:

  1. Wait for the user to complete software installation.
  2. In the case of automatic updates, follow steps to disable Auto updates
