# How to enable ActiveX controls in Internet Explorer? Endpoint Central supports two modes of viewing remote computers: **ActiveX Viewer** and **HTML5 Viewer**. The ActiveX Viewer uses the browser’s ActiveX components. Therefore, the browser from which the connection is established must have ActiveX controls enabled. ## To enable ActiveX controls in Internet Explorer, follow the steps given below: 1. Select **Tools --> Internet Options** from Internet Explorer. 2. Select the **Security** tab in the Internet Options dialog. 3. Select the appropriate web content zone and click **Custom Level**. 4. Under **ActiveX controls and plug-ins**, set the following options to **Enable** or **Prompt**: 1. Download signed ActiveX controls 2. Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins 3. Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting 5. Click **OK** to save the security settings. 6.
