# Unable to reach Endpoint Central server from Jira console | ManageEngine ## For Jira Service Management (On Premise) ### Problem You have trouble accessing the Endpoint Central server from your Jira Service Management console. ### Causes One of the following could be the reason you are unable to connect to the server: 1. Endpoint Central server has been stopped 2. The server has been configured with a new IP address/migrated to another computer 3. Lack of network connectivity between Endpoint Central server and Jira Service Management 4. Blocked by the firewall in Endpoint Central server 5. Proxy server not configured in Jira Service Management ### Resolution You are required to identify the reason you cannot connect to Endpoint Central server and follow the relevant resolution from the list given below: ### Starting Endpoint Central server Follow the steps given below to start Endpoint Central server service: 1. Navigate to Start -> Programs -> ManageEngine Endpoint Central. 2. Start Endpoint Central. ### Checking the details of Endpoint Central server Jira Service Management server uses the following information to connect to the Endpoint Central server. Ensure that the correct details have been specified: 1. Name or IP address of the server 2. Communication port numbers 3. Communication protocol If Endpoint Central server has been moved to a new computer, update the name and IP address of the new computer in the Endpoint Central server settings from Jira Service Management console. ### Lack of connectivity between servers Check the network settings to ensure that there is connectivity between Endpoint Central server and Jira Service Management server. One should be able to reach the Endpoint Central server from Jira Service Management. Ping the server IP (IP:Port) using the browser and check it gets connected. If not, analyze the error it throws. ### Adding port numbers to the list of exceptions in the firewall Add the port that is being used by Endpoint Central server to the exceptions list of the firewall that Endpoint Central server is using. ### Configure proxy server in Jira Service Management Configure proxy server in Jira Service Management. The proxy server properties need to be configured in Jira Service Management server and once the following mandatory properties are set, Jira Service Management server should be restarted. Upon restart of Jira Service Management server, try connecting the Endpoint Central server URL in Add-on Configuration to complete the integration.
