After connecting to a computer using AnyConnect, how can you establish a RDP connections to it?

Objective: To establish a RDP connection to a computer after connecting to it via AnyConnect VPN.

The ideal solution will be

1. Navigate to Configuration> Device Setup> Interfaces
2. Select the Enable traffic between two or more interfaces which are configured with the same security levels checkbox.
3. Enter the following commands in the CLI:
   ciscoasa# conf t
ciscoasa(config) #same-security-traffic permit intra-interface
4. Test to check if it works.

For this command to work efficiently, follow these steps:

1. Enable ASA for AnyConnect.
2. Check if you can't access just RDP or other services like HTTP, and SSH as well.
3. Ensure the RDP connection isn't blocked in the firewall configured in your local server.
4. Check your NAT rules to ensure you can access your internal network.

Note:

If you are using a public IP address, check if you have blocked port 3389 (RDP port) of your device that connects to the WAN. Since all VPN traffic is tunneled through the ASA and back out, adding the "same-security-traffic permit intra-interface" command helps in routing the traffic back on the same interface.
