File backup and restoration
It is highly recommended to take a backup of critical files and folders before installing service packs.
File backup
You can either take a server snapshot or follow the given steps.
- Stop the EventLog Analyzer application.
- Copy the following folders without any exclusions.
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/bin
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/conf
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/images
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/jre
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/lib
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/server
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/tools
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/troubleshooting
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/webapps
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/pgsql
- Copy the entire ES folder, excluding the below files.
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/ES/data
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/ES/CachedRecord
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/ES/archive
- Also copy the following files from the data folder from the EventLog Analyzer home.
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/data/cookie.txt
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/data/pub_rsa.key
- <EventLog Analyzer Home>/data/sls.conf
File restoration
- Stop the EventLog Analyzer application.
- Copy the current product files to a different folder. This is to ensure product functionality in case of file restoration failure.
- Replace the current product files with the files copied during backup.
