Description This error occurs when the directory replication agent tries to connect with the mail service for more than 10 minutes and there is no reply.
Probable cause The mail service and the information store may not be running.

Event ID 1106:

Event 1106 occurs when the directory replication agent is unable to reach the mail service. This may be because the mail service or the information store is down. This might lead to replication errors. To avoid this, you have to continuously monitor the mailbox services including the status of information store which can be quite difficult with native tools or scripting.
