We regret to inform you that we have decided to sunset Security Manager Plus with effect from September 15, 2015. We've stopped all development, sales, and distribution of the product from September 15, 2014.
We thoroughly enjoyed providing vulnerability assessment, remediation, and patch management services to our customers globally. Our journey so far had been challenging, yet was filled with wonderful experiences. Either way, the decision hasn't been easy, and we deeply regret the inconvenience this might cause your organization. Although we've discontinued Security Manager Plus, ManageEngine Desktop Central, the integrated Desktop and Mobile Device Management software will provide the required patch management features.
We will honor the support contracts of our existing customers and will continue to offer product support until your contract expires or until Sep 15, 2015 whichever is earlier. During this period, we will continue to update the vulnerability and patch database. There will be no new feature additions or enhancements during this period.
All existing customers can opt to avail a complimentary license to the Professional Edition of ManageEngine Desktop Central, which offers patch management, in addition to several Desktop Management features. The license will be coterminous with the existing license term of Security Manager Plus and will cover the same number of systems (termed 'Computers' in Desktop Central). We hope that this option will enable our customers to use patch management features, though we may not be able to offer data migration services from Security Manager Plus to Desktop Central.
