Configuring SAML SSO for Evernote Business

 

These steps will guide you through setting up the single sign-on functionality between ADSelfService Plus and Evernote Business.

Prerequisite

  1. Login to ADSelfService Plus as an administrator.

  2. Navigate to Configuration → Self-service → Password Sync/Single Sign-on.

  3. Locate and click on Evernote Business in the list of applications provided.

  4. Click on the Download SSO Certificate link in the top-right corner of the screen.

  5. In the SSO/SAML Details pop-up that appears, copy the Login URL and download the SSO certificate by clicking on the Download SSO Certificate link.


Evernote (Service Provider) configuration steps

  1. Login to Evernote with an administrator’s credentials in https://www.evernote.com/ .

  2. Click Key logo from the bottom left pane to access the Admin Console.

  3. In the left pane, Navigate to Security and click Single Sign on.

  4. Paste the Login URL (Refer Step 5 of Prerequisite) in the SAML HTTP request URL field.

  5. Open the downloaded certificate as a text file. Copy and paste the content it in the X.509 Certificate text field.

  6. Click Save & Enable.

ADSelfService Plus (Identity Provider) configuration steps

  1. Now, switch to ADSelfService Plus’ Evernote Business configuration page.

  2. Enter the domain name of your Evernote Business account in the Domain Name field. For example, if you use johndoe@evernotebusiness.com to log in to Evernote Business, then evernotebusiness.com is the domain name.

  3. Provide a Description in the respective field.

  4. In the Available Policies field, click on the drop-down box and select the policies for which you wish to enable single sign-on.

  5. Click Save and log out of ADSelfService Plus.

For Evernote Business, single sign-on is supported only for SP initiated flow. For users to access Evernote Business, log into the user portal and opt to use the Evernote Business profile.
