Configuring SAML SSO for Line Works

These steps will guide you through setting up the single sign-on functionality between ADSelfService Plus and Line Works.

Prerequisite

  1. Login to ADSelfService Plus as an administrator.
  2. Navigate to Configuration → Self-service → Password Sync/Single Sign-on.
  3. Locate and click on Line Works in the list of applications provided.
  4. Click on the Download SSO Certificate link in the top-right corner of the screen.
  5. In the pop-up that appears, copy the Login URL and the Logout URL. Also, click Download SSO certificate and save the file.

Line Works (Service Provider) configuration steps

  1. Go to the Line Works’ Admin console. Click the basic setting icon.
  2. Navigate to the Company information management section. Make a note of the domain name from the Domain information field.

  3. Now, switch to the Line Works’ Developer console. Go to the SSO section and select SAML as the SSO type.
  4. In the Web Login URL, Layer Popup Login URL, and the Application Login URL fields, paste the Login URL you had copied in the step 5 of prerequisite.
  5. In the Logout URL field, paste the Logout URL you had copied in the step 5 of prerequisite.
  6. In the Certificate File field, upload the X509-certificate file you had saved in the step 5 of prerequisite. Click Apply and Confirm.

ADSelfService Plus (Identity Provider) configuration steps

  1. Now, switch to ADSelfService Plus’ Line Works configuration page.
  2. In the Domain Name field, enter the name of the domain you had copied in step 2 of Line Works configuration.
  3. Enter an appropriate Display Name.
  4. In the SAML Redirect URL field, enter the end-user's Line Works Login URL.
  5. Enter an appropriate Description.
  6. In the Available Policies field, select the policies for which you wish to enable single sign-on. Click Save.

    For Line Works, only SP-initiated flow is supported.
