Configuring SAML SSO for StatusCast

These steps will guide you through setting up the single sign-on functionality between ADSelfService Plus and StatusCast.

Prerequisite

  1. Login to ADSelfService Plus as an administrator.

  2. Navigate to Configuration → Self-service → Password Synchronizer..

  3. Locate and click on StatusCast in the list of applications provided.

  4. Click on the Download SSO Certificate link in the top-right corner of the screen.

  5. In the pop-up that appears, copy the Login URL and download the SSO certificate by clicking on the Download SSO Certificate.


StatusCast (Service Provider) configuration steps

  1. Login to StatusCast with an administrator’s credentials.
    (https://<subdomain>.statuscast.com/admin/)

  2. Under Integration, choose Okta and click Install

  3. Navigate to Configure Integration → Single sign-on

  4. Paste the URL, copied in step 5 of Prerequisite, in the SSO Target URL.

  5. Open the downloaded certificate as a text file. Copy and paste the content it in the X.509 Certificate text field. 

  6. You can save the configuration. 

ADSelfService Plus (Identity Provider) configuration steps

  1. Now, switch to ADSelfService Plus’ StatusCast configuration page.

  2. In the Domain Name field, enter the domain name of your email address. For example, if you use johndoe@statuscast.com to log in to StatusCast, then StatusCast is the domain name.

  3. Paste the SP Identifier copied from the StatusCast admin account in the respective field.

  4. Provide a Description in the respective field.

  5. In the Available Policies field, click on the drop-down box and select the policies for which you wish to enable single sign-on.

  6. Click Save and log out of ADSelfService Plus.

For StatusCast, single sign-on is supported for SP and IDP initiated flow.
