ServiceDesk Plus is happy to announce a number of highly requested features and improvements in its latest version, including enhancements to the change management module, a revamped form customizer, a customizable login page, and improved Active Directory (AD) and mobile device management capabilities. Below are some of the major changes you can expect to see in this version.
The change module has received a bunch of improvements that make creating and managing changes smoother and easier, which you can read more about below.
The change details view now has a conversation tab where all your emails regarding the change appear in one place, which makes keeping track of changes much easier.
Change roles are now a part of new change creation. You can easily associate change roles with change requests right at the time of change submission.
A change request no longer requires the change manager's approval if all the CAB members approve it.
Using this feature, you can easily collaborate with technicians who don't have access to the change—including with technicians from different sites—without going to the technician settings to grant access.
Changes can be approved from the ServiceDesk Plus iOS app.
Empower your IT service desk with better AD management and end point management capabilities through the enhancements in our integrations with ManageEngine's IT management tools.
Configure new user fields and domains from the UI with the latest enhancements in the ServiceDesk Plus' integration with ADManager Plus. We've also added new action menus like set/remove folder permissions, modify manager, and modify department.
Locate devices in ServiceDesk Plus with the Mobile Device Manager Plus integration.
Design cleaner looking incident and service templates using the new form customizer.
Rebrand your IT service desk login page with an easy-to-use HTML editor. We've added pre-written code for different actions like adding a background image and adjusting the height and width of headings and images. Real-time previews reduce the chance of errors when customizing your page.
Associate costs with services in the service catalog and allow end users to automatically view total costs of the services they've selected.
Loan assets to users and specify the loan period. This makes it easier to keep track of and temporarily provide assets to users.
Import and install SSL certificates right from ServiceDesk Plus' user-friendly interface.
Tighten security by password-protecting files generated within ServiceDesk Plus.
Add employee IDs and expiration dates of user accounts in the new requester creation form.
Change the template of a previously created service request so that the information already entered in the previous template will be populated in the new template.
Quickly find incident and service request templates on your self-service portal with the new search widget.
Clear up clutter and organize your sites better by hiding inactive sites.
