Managing users in Remote Access Plus

As an administrator, many a times you would have felt mundane routines spill over crucial attention-seeking jobs of your network. Remote Access answers this concern through its User & Role Management module by letting you delegate your routine activities to chosen users with well-defined permission levels. You can easily administer the users, and define their scope to manage a specific set of computers.

Navigation: From Remote Access application, Settings tab -> Manage Technicians

There are three different roles in Remote Access: Super admin, admin and the technician. The person who carries out the sign-up process will automatically be assigned as the super admin. Super admin and admins can invite other admins and technicians based on licenses purchased.

Inviting an admin or technician

  1. From Remote Access application, Settings tab -> Manage Technicians -> Invite Technician.
  2. You can choose to send a private invite or provide multiple e-mail addresses at a single instance and burst an e-mail.
  3. Under roles, select the privileges you wish to grant the user (techinician / admin) and click invite technician

Once, the user accepts the invite he/she will be able to access the Remote Access application using the Zoho account.

Defining the permission levels

Super admins and admins can choose to limit the privileges of technicians or other admins to a specific group of computers. i.e, they'll be able to troubleshoot or invoke any remote operation only on the specified group of computers. You can achieve this by clicking on the Groups section, seleci the groups you wish to grant access to that particular admin or technician.
