Wi-Fi
You can configure Wi-Fi and proxy settings for Chromebooks.
Profile Description
| Profile Specification | Description |
|---|---|
| Wireless Network identification | Specify a name, which will be used as the SSID for the Wi-Fi network. |
| Connect to this Wi-Fi automatically | Automatically join this Wi-Fi network, on detection |
| Hidden network | Allow/Restrict broadcasting of the Wi-Fi SSID. |
| Security type | Specify the method to be used for encryption |
| Password (Can be configured only if Security Type is WEP or WPA/WPA2) | Password authentication to connect to the configured Wi-Fi. |
| Configure Protocol (Can be configured only if Security Type is WPA/WPA2 Enterprise and Dynamic WEP) | |
| Protocols Supported | Choose the type of protocol |
| Inner Protocols(Can be configured only if Protocols Supported is PEAP and TTLS) | Specify the type of inner protocol to be used |
| Configure Authentication (Can be configured only if Security Type is WPA/WPA2 Enterprise and Dynamic WEP) | |
| User Name | User Name of the device, (%username%)will get the appropriate User Name, mapped to the device |
| Password (Can be configured only if Protocol Supported is LEAP) | User password for initial connection |
| CA Certificate(Can be configured only if Protocol Supported is TTLS/PEAP | Specify the certificate to be used for Client-Based Authentication(CBA). |
