# Power Management

You can configure power settings for the managed Chromebooks, irrespective if it is connected to a power source or not. You need to configure the same set of parameters both when the Chromebook is connected to a power source and when it isn't.

## Profile Description

| Profile Specification | Description |
|---|---|
| Timeout for idle warning(in seconds) | Maximum time before an idle warning is displayed on the managed Chromebook. |
| Timeout for screen dim(in seconds) | Maximum time before the Chromebook screen is dimmed. |
| Timeout for idle(in seconds) | Maximum time before which the [idle action](https://www.manageengine.com/mobile-device-management/help/profile_management/chrome/user_profiles/mdm_chromebook_power_settings.html#idle_action) is performed on the Chromebook. |
| Time out for screenoff(in seconds) | Maximum time before which the Chromebook screen is turned off. |
| Idle Action | The action to be performed when the Chromebook is idle. |
